Camera-
At the beginning of the opening sequence, Kevin is having a dream, that he was in the victorian times. The shots that were used were, extreme close up, long shot and close up shot.
Then there is a clip of Kevin in his bedroom, the clips that are used are a low angle shot, a long shot, a close up, an extreme close up and two person shot.
throughout the rest of the opening sequence shots such as;
Hand held camera shots
Panning
low angle shots
Extreme long shot / panning with title of film
Representation of characters
The representation that these characters give across, is a typical teenage boy, and the things they get up to. They also give the representation of how teenagers act towards their parents, and how the parents handle not being obeyed.
It also shows perhaps a hobbie that teenagers would be into "music". Kevin and Perry enjoy to DJ, but again, they disobey their parents with playing their music to loud, i think this opening sequence represents teenagers well.
Mise-en-scene
The bedroom - in this shot their is;
Posters of woman
Books
Blow up toys
clothes
magazines
The shopping- in this shot there is;
Shops
People
Editing
There did not seem to be a lot of editing in the opening sequence other than, the titles at the beginning.
The cutting between shots
Fading out
Titles of the film and the end
Sound
Throughout the opening sequence there was an ongoing beat behind the actors talking this is called non-diegetic sound.
There is one scene where Kevin and Perry are DJ in their bedroom, this music would be called diegetic sound
We did not look at the whole of this clip, we studied up to where the title of the film comes up,
which is around 5 minutes 07.
